According to data released by property agency CBRE Thailand, resale prices of some popular condominiums in Bangkok have risen at a terrific rate since their launches.

One of the most significant examples of this rise is The Park Chidlom condominium. When it was launched back in 2004, the prices were about THB110,000 per SQM. But today, prices reach as much as THB215,000 per SQM on average, which is almost a 100% increase in 11 years!

Such price increase was also witnessed among other condominiums, for instance Athenee Residence. In 2004, the condominium project was launched at THB120,000 per SQM. In 2014, one unit was sold for a record price of THB224,508 per SQM.

More recent condominiums like 185 Rajdamri launched in 2011 at THB220,000 per SQM and in 2014, units were sold at almost THB300,000 per SQM.

Location and building quality are definitely the two main factors that drive the price of resale units in Bangkok. Purchasing a high-priced condominium in a strategic location with the view the resell it appear to be the best investment strategy as of today.
