Bangkok Retail Spaces Among The Cheapest Worldwide
According to global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield’s flagship retail research report Main Streets Across the World, Bangkok remains among the cheapest city in terms of retail space rental with average prices of THB1, 219,123 per annum.
New York City’s Fifth Avenue is the most expensive place in the world with prices reaching THB1,219,123 per annum and Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay area is ranked 2nd with rentals of THB952,790. These cities’ rentals are about 20 to 30 times as expensive as Bangkok!
Regionally, Singapore is ranked 16th with rental prices of THB126,197 per annum, which is about three times as expensive as Bangkok.
However, Bangkok has already gained three ranks since 2013 report and the current political stability and healthy economic situation should lead the Kingdom to witness further increases in rentals by the upcoming years.
