Besides the increasing number of new property launches and high rental/sale prices, the capital of Thailand also offers value-for-money condominiums for both rent and sale. In fact, where is it possible to find these cheap properties around Bangkok?

In its latest report using more than 53,000 units, Propertydata.asia found out that, like in every city worldwide, cheapest condominiums are located in city’s outskirts and suburbs. Therefore, Bangkok’s less expensive properties are located in the North, West and East; all at about a 20 to 35min journey to Siam and the CBD. Cheapest areas of Bangkok include Sapan Sung, Lak Si, Bang Khat, Prawet and Don Mueng.

Condominiums in these areas are usually 60% to 80% less expensive than the average selling/renting price in whole Bangkok, up to THB94 monthly sqm rental rate and THB19,000 per sqm in terms of units for sale there.

Moreover, the report studied where were the cheapest condos nearby mass transit system located?

As expected, buildings located nearby terminal stations offer the least expensive condos on average, for instance properties around Bang Na, Bearing, and Mo Chit.

However, some exceptions do exist. In fact, Victory Monument surprisingly offers great value-for-money properties with extremely low rental rates and selling prices, considering its proximity to the CBD (about 6min journey from Siam).

Lukas Schnider of propertydata.asia said: “An insider tip [for anyone looking for value-for-money accommodation in Bangkok] is to check the very affordable rents and prices around the very centrally located BTS Station Victory Monument. A cheap studio apartment is available forTHB2 million or to rent for THB7,500 per month.”
