Magnolia To Announce New Property Projects
Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Ltd (MQDC) will announce further developments plans but is first waiting for the government to decide on its spending policies for the upcoming year.
According to its Deputy chief executive Visit Malaisirirat : “The government should accelerate infrastructure development spending because its fiscal budget is going to end in September. If it can increase spending, the country’s economy will improve.”
In fact, the property market shall boost since government is expected to spend on new BTS and MRT lines in outer Bangkok.
Owned by the Chearavanont family, MQDC just launched a huge mixed-use project called Whizdom 101. Worth an astonishing 30 billion baht, the project is located in Sukhumvit 101/1 on a 43-rai land plot between BTS Punnawithi and BTS Udom Suk.
Expected to be completed in 2018, the mixed-use project will feature a 10,000 SQM sports complex, 20,000 SQM of retail space, 30,000 of office space as well as three residential towers – two of 40 storeys and one of 50 storeys.
The company launched the first residential tower earlier this year with prices starting at THB120,000 per SQM. The building comprises of 600 units ranging from 28 to 80SQM. It is now 60% sold out.
