Sansiri Awarded Best Developer in South East Asia Property Awards 2013
Sansiri Public Company Limited, as one of Thailand’s leading property developers, was recently awarded Best Developer (Thailand) at the 2013 South East Asia Property Awards in Singapore.
Established in 1984, publicly listed Sansiri (SET: SIRI) was honoured among the region’s top developers for building “some of the worlds most innovative and interesting property developments”, which the judges described as “iconic in their respective countries”.
“We are proud to be honoured for our performance among Southeast Asia’s leading developers,” said Sansiri’s CEO Apichart Chutrakul. ““Sansiri is proud to disclose that during the first nine months of 2013, the company has generated over THB37 billion (USD1.4 billion) in total sales – the highest sales performance across the Thai real estate industry. This notable sales success accounts for 80% of our annual sales target of THB48 billion (USD1.87 billion), reflecting a significant growth over the THB26 billion (USD830 million) achieved last year during the same period.”
Now in its third year, the 2013 South East Asia Property Awards is recognised as one of Asia’s most prestigious awards celebrating the best of the best in the region’s luxury residential property sector, and shining the spotlight on high calibre projects and real estate industry professionals.
Sansiri stands out as a high achiever in the Thai market with a total pre-sale backlog worth THB66.5 billion (USD2.6 billion) – the sales value of which will be realised over the next five years. T
Earlier this year, Sansiri also launched its high-profile premium-class beachfront condominium project, Baan Mai Khao Phuket. Situated in a prime location on the island’s unspoilt northwest coast, the luxury condominium, representing a total investment of THB2.9 billion Thai Baht (USD93.3 million), has attracted a large number of Singaporean investors seeking a holiday home in Thailand.
“The unique qualities of this superior project has won unprecedented approval among investors, both foreign and Thai,” said Mr Chutrakul. “Our vision was to create a relaxed ambience where residents and guests can feel both carefree and invigorated, day after day, in Asia’s number one holiday home market.”
Baan Mai Khao Phuket is among 40 new projects of single houses, townhouses and condominiums launched so far this year, with seven new projects worth over THB8.7 billion (USD340 million) lined up for launches during the fourth quarter of 2013, including the company’s first project in Chiang Rai, ‘dcondo dyde’, and its first single-house project in Chiang Mai, ‘Setthasiri San Sai’.
The developer’s current portfolio of 120 active projects has a total project value of THB151 billion (USD$5.97 billion).
