Veranda Group To Develop A 2Billion Baht Pattaya Project
The luxury hotel company Veranda Group is planning to launch a brand new project
worth more than 2billion baht in Pattaya, its fourth property so far.
Located on Na Jomtien Beach, the mixed-use project will consist of the Veranda Resort
and Spa Pattaya with its 150 rooms and the Veranda Residence Pattaya Condominium
and its 364 units and four villas. Units will be selling at 140,000THB/sqm on average.
The project is expected to reach completion in Q4 2016.
Veranda will manage this hotel, which shall definitely boost the company’s performance.
Currently, the group owns and manages two hotel properties: the Veranda Resort and
Spa Hua Hin-Cha Am and the Veranda Chiang Mai the High Resort. However, its most
popular hotel, the 5-star Sofitel So Bangkok, is managed by the renowned Accor chain as
using such international hotel chain can provide them with higher room rates.
Veranda Group is actually seeking tourism destinations appreciated by both locals
and foreigners. Moreover, the firm is extremely confident towards Pattaya. Surasak
Wongkiatthaworn, Veranda’s marketing director, said, “Pattaya has very good
infrastructure and Suvarnabhumi airport also helps to support Pattaya tourism”. In fact,
in 2013, the city attracted no less than 8.8 million visitors of which 70% were foreigners.
Indeed Veranda is right to bet on Pattaya city with this huge project as tourism there
is expected to grow by 10% up to 9.6 million people visiting the place and generating
income of about THB170 million.
