Thai Economy To Strengthen In 2015
According to a recent survey conducted by Research Institute of Bangkok University, most economists believe the Thai economy in 2015 will clearly outperform 2014 results. This survey has been conducted in November 2014 among 60 economists of 28 leading agencies.
In fact, 88% of the economists surveyed affirm the Thai economy will grow by 3.5% next year.
More, the inflation rate for the upcoming year is mainly estimated at 2.3%. Another important factor remains towards the interest rates. Indeed, about half of the economists believe the Bank of Thailand will increase the policy interest rate to 2.5% whereas one third of them are convinced the rate will stay at 2% during the year.
Finally, 52% affirm the Baht will weaken to USD33.20 whereas 23% think the opposite.
